Longtime, successful, and proven executive Matthew Ryan was recently named the CEO of TMC, in Orlando, Florida. Also a Board member, he oversees strategic planning, client relations, and operations for the transportation engineering company. Matthew Ryan previously served as the President and CEO of the engineering company S&ME Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he and the team increased gross revenue from $150 million to $205 million and added more women and diversity to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Ryan spent most of the 2000s and 2010s in leadership positions at HDR, an engineering, architecture, and construction services company involved in roadway and bridges, water and wastewater management, healthcare, and oil and gas. As an Executive Vice President, Mr. Ryan was responsible for profits and losses in multiple divisions. Initially hired as a senior project manager, he rose to greater responsibilities in sales and marketing and operations.
In addition, Mr. Ryan was the Chief Growth Officer for Industrial Piping Inc., a private-equity sponsored firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he grew the company's global client base. He also held a senior management position at the Infrastructure Management Group in Bethesda, Maryland, guiding aviation and wastewater consultants. Moreover, he served as an manager for for the Government Accountability Office and a policy director for the House of Representatives. He is an BS and MBA graduate of George Mason University.
